Their free weekly electronic newsletter, HouseCall, regularly includes exercise and nutrition information; you can sign up for it on the Clinic’s homepage.www.mayoclinic.com
American College of Sports Medicine
The American College of Sports Medicine provides free downloadable brochures and information about exercise. If you are considering getting more exercise of any type, we strongly recommend that you download their Pedometer brochure and read the section, "The First Step." It lists questions you should ask yourself BEFORE starting any exercise program in order to find out whether it's reasonably safe for you to do so and when you should consult a physician first.www.acsm.org
